part of your argument was that julius jones has had bigger career highs but that 198 yard game and 150 yard game AND 149 yard game was in 04 and the 194 was in 05 so his next best was 140 which is....less than barbers 142 last season. plus barber has a 124 yard game which betters julius' 117. this is a what have you done for me lately league. dude will have a big game and then disappears. He just flat out wasnt that good in his last 2 seasons with dallas and really hasnt been all that impressive in seattle either. it was really a no brainer to let him walk, id take felix over him too. and for someone that can't stay on the field like you said whether its from being injured or getting subbed out, hes got 54 more yards and 2 more TDs than julius this season on 2 less carries.

ps. didnt you say you did research and found statistical evidence that made julius better than barber? and you'd honestly take a guy that gets average yardage over a guy that finishes the job and gets 6?

So your saying that Barber had 2 more yards than Jones on one occasion and 7 more yards on the other.That is not exactly Blowing the doors off is it?If anything it just proves my point that Barber is at best almost as good as JJ.I kind of already highlighted the reasons that JJ was "not" that good in Dallas the last couple of years.So i will go ahead and mention it again.He is an every down back and the Cowboys used him incorrectly.Its kind of hard to have consistent yardage when you keep getting shuffled around during a game.Barber will never have long Td runs like JJ.JJ has had several.He was also "only getting 10 Carries per game his last two years in Dallas.No running back in the NFL is going to run for 100 yards on so little carries.When Jones totted the rock on avg 20 time per game his production has been way up.Now that JJ is @Seattle it has been a little rough.We can all agree that Sea doesnt have the Same talent as Dallas.(Especially the O-line)That IMO is a Major contributing factor to his slippage in play.However I still see him doing a solid job when his team is performing well.It may have been a no-brainer to let him walk but he didnt stay unemployed for long and this season is still a long ways from being over so it will be interesting to see what happens.The research I did was based off gms seen and stats from the website above.Also the reason Barber was finishing the Job in dallas is because the defense was already worn out by that mamoth offensive line and the nifty running of Julius.Barber is a good back but i still would take JJ for all the above reasons.One more thing Dallas has 3 good back right now.Sea uhhhh not so much.I cant wait till they play this season.

Actually that would be the first time that Any DC says that about MB3!Mabe you are missremembering but Dallas had T.O. on the team at the time and T.O. #81 Future Hofer is who the DC centered their attention around.Lets not kidd ourselves.Anybody that has seen a Cowboys game the past three years cac tell you that.So yeah it would be the first time a DC said that about JJ or MB3.The adjustments were always to T.O. first and Witten Second.Those other fish being fried were as previously mentioned above.Nice try though.

Almost forgot,Now the defenses will be geared toward stopping Austin,Witten,and Felix now.So yeah I'm pretty confident in my assesment thus far.
